GIVING A DOG TO HLR: Please do not use the "contact us" form to inform HLR about dogs you want to surrender or have found. If you want to surrender a dog that you currently own or have found, please fill out a SURRENDER APPLICATION. Using the contact us form will delay HLR getting in contact with you.

FOUND DOGS: Please fill out a Surrender Application. This is the only way we can take in found dogs.

We rely exclusively on the generosity of our volunteers to respond to requests for information and will get back to you as soon as we can. Our volunteers typically respond via email (not telephone) and may take a few days to get back with you.
